Most of the heat generated by the loss is transmitted from the stator core to the base and then taken away by the external cooling air. The rest of the heat loss is transferred from the inner cooling circuit to the base and then taken away by the external cooling air.

Four axial air passages are provided in the 45-degree direction. .
